What would you do if you were a caterer and a celeb took a bite out of a sandwich without finishing it? Would you A) throw it away, B) eat it yourself, or C) sell it on eBay. Someone decided to do C, and we interviewed them about it.

VidFad.com: Your auction says that the egg salad sandwich and corndog were partially consumed at an event several months ago — how long after the event were they vaccum sealed?
Derrick: These two items were vaccuum sealed a couple of hours after I got them.

VidFad.com: Have the partially consumed egg salad sandwich and corndog been inspected by the FDA and do you feel that they would still be edible for human consumption?
Derrick: Inspected by FDA? No. These are being sold as INEDIBLE for human consumption. eBay requires memorabilia like this to be sealed and sold as such.

VidFad.com: You said that the vacuum sealer preserves items such as this for years and years. Do you think it would it be safe to finish eating the corndog and sandwich in, say, 3 years?
Derrick: I would not recomend eating the corndog or sandwich years from now actually.

VidFad.com: My gut feeling tells me this isn’t the first time that you captured celebrity food. Can we expect further auctions from you of partially consumed celebrity food chunks?
Derrick: This IS the first time ive done this. Curious to see how it worked out. I’ve worked at events like this for a time now and always thought about doing this, but this is the first time ive actually gotten something and put it up on eBay. I do events like these regularly and might do it more in the future if this one works out well. As it is now, it’s at over a hundred dollars and a day left to go on it, I’m calling this successful at this point. Seems to be a definate market on eBay for these types of celebrity items.
