District B13

While scouring the internet for new trailers, I came across a movie that I’ve never heard of before, yet it’s already made it’s way onto the big screen. I’ve worked as a projectionist at a movie theater for the past four years now and for me to not hear of a movie is odd to say the least. Well, the movie I’m talking about is District B13. I don’t know how many of you have heard of this movie, but it’s making it’s way to DVD in a little over a week. September 5th is District B13’s release date and you can bet your ass I’ll be there to pick it up bright and early.

I know many of you must be thinking that if this movie has already made it to the theaters and it’s already on it’s way to DVD then it must be shit. Usually, I would agree, but in this case, I’m willing to make an exception. Why? I’ll tell you why.

District B13

I decided to Google for reviews and came across quite a few and they all had the same message. Go see District B13. Cinematical.com on District B13 says, “In place of contrived storylines and massive stars crisscrossing the globe, District B13 offers the awesome, graceful power of parkour alongside a simple story, sneaky wit and 90 minutes of thrilling, absolutely gleeful action. It might just be the best action movie of the summer.”

District B13 is a French film. So yes, it is subtitled. However, subtitles don’t both me. I’d much rather sit down and throw in my DVD of La Femme Nikita rather than watch some of the crap that’s out in theaters now.

September 5th is closing in fast and soon I’ll be able to get my hands on a copy of District B13.

I *loved* this movie. I remember nearly squealing with joy when I saw the trailer for this months ago. I ran to the theatre to see it. There were 3 of us in there. It was so sad because these was so much fun. I hope you enjoy it and thanks for the heads up on the dvd release. Will have to make sure to pick it up.

    BTW - Great site.
