“Farce of the Penguins” — Bot Saget’s new comedy
I really haven’t seen or heard much publicity yet about “Farce of the Penguins”, so it enticed me to post a little something of my own.
“Farce of the Penguins” is written and directed by none other than Bob Saget. Yes I said Bob Saget, but trust me, “Farce of the Penguins” is no family flick. Bob Saget is probably best known for his roles in either the TV show “Full House” or “America’s Funniest Home Videos”. While those shows are funny in their own regards, Bob takes Farce to a whole new level.
I’m not sure how many of you have seen “The Aristocrats”, but it’s a movie that was released last year that consists of a bunch of comedians telling the same incredibly vulgar joke in their own way. Well, Bob Saget is one of those comedians and his rendition just happens to be one of the funniest.
The release of “The Aristocrats” had to be the first time that people realized that Bob wasn’t just the friendly, geeky father from “Full House”, but a genuinely funny stand up comedian with a dirty mouth.
Now, Bob Saget is trying his hand at a spoof of “March of the Penguins”. The trailer looks hilarious and it’s loaded with big name comedians. Hopefully Bob won’t keep us waiting too long and release this dirty comedy soon.
