John Cusack, Joan Cusack and War, Inc.
I just ran across a trailer of War, Inc. uploaded onto YouTube. War, Inc. stars John Cusack, Joan Cusack, Ben Kingsley and Hillary Duff. At first when I heard about this movie, I thought it was going to be a somewhat serious film. I was wrong.
I really don’t think this film looks all that bad. John Cusack plays a hitman who’s on a mission to assassinate a middle eastern oil minister. His cover is a trade show producer. Hilarity ensues.
John Cusack really is an underrated actor. He’s got a huge list of movies under his belt and to me it seems as he always plays the role of a female accessory in some romantic comedy. I’m glad he’s pushing away from those roles in this film and The Martian Child — both to be released in ‘07.
I can’t stand his sister Joan after seeing her on those U.S. Cellular commercials played to nausea, but I have an open mind and I’m willing to give her a chance in this flick.

John Cusack can’t really be rated as an actor, he can only be rated as a person because in every movie he’s just essentially the same, neurotic guy. That being said, he does that character incredibly well, he’s charismatic, I still enjoy most of his movies, and it looks like he’ll be doing exactly what he’s done in every movie, in fact he just needs to repeat what he did in “Grosse Point Blank,” hell it looks like he’s even wearing the same outfits. Regardless, I enjoyed “Grosse Point Blank” and this looks like more of the same so I’m sure I’ll see it and I’ll like it. Joan Cusack is worthless and is only getting work because I’m sure John feels sorry for her.
I wonder how many decades it’ll take before we stop hearing songs from Green Day’s “American Idiot” in trailers and commercials.
I love how they have the random Popeyes towards the end of the trailer.
