Due to working a long and tiring shift last night, I was completely fed up with our piece of shit projectors. So, I decided I’d reward myself and run Live Free or Die Hard.

I’ve been following this movie since I heard of its release and to tell you the truth, I wasn’t expecting anything good to come from another Die Hard movie. I loved the first three, but after hearing of Live Free or Die Hard’s PG-13 rating I lost all hope. What’s a Die Hard movie without John McClane being the disgruntled cop he is? His entire vocabulary is based off the word fuck.

Well, even without the boat loads of foul language, Live Free or Die Hard delivers an enjoyable action flick that unfortunately doesn’t feel like it belongs in the Die Hard series. Yes, there’s plenty of explosions. Yes, there’s John McClane kicking ass and taking names. Yes, there’s weird foreign bad guys that speak a foreign language just for the sake of putting subtitles up on the screen, but it just didn’t feel like a Die Hard movie.

I think the single thing I was most disappointed with was how Bruce Willis delivered his signature line. It’s this build up through the entire movie, waiting for him to spew those famous lines from his mouth. Instead of getting Yippee-ki-yay, motherfucker with some evil, bad ass stare at the head bad guy, we get Yippee-ki-yay, mother*bang*. If you watch it, you’ll see what I mean.

Overall, Live Free or Die Hard is a fun action movie filled with tons of unbelievable action sequences that are pleasing to the eye. I’d go see it again.
