The Number 23 seems to be getting all the attention recently. The story focuses on Walter Sparrow (Jim Carrey) who becomes obsessed with a book and begins to find similarities in his own life to make him believe the book was based on him. This Mystery/Thriller/Whatever other category it could be placed in, takes Jim Carrey into a new genre and although I love Carrey’s acting, I can’t stand Joel Schumacher’s movies. Hopefully, Schumacher will give us something worth watching…and what’s up with New Line giving away a Nintendo Wii to promote The Number 23?

Music and Lyrics hits theaters tomorrow and just in time for Valentines Day. Get it? A romantic comedy to be released on Valentines Day. How original. The only thing worse than having either Huge Grant or Drew Barrymore star in a movie is having them staring in the same movie. Furthermore, Drew Barrymore apparently doesn’t like the fact that romantic comedies trick people into believing they’re true, yet she still stars in them and takes it straight to the bank. I can only hope Ghost Rider will rip it to shit this weekend.

Bridge to Terabithia also debuts this weekend and hopefully people won’t be too upset with Disney’s marketing lie. Apparently the movie is more of a My Girl rather than Harry Potter. Despite Disney’s marketing lies, the movie has been receiving good reviews and even I’m looking forward to seeing it — hey, My Girl wasn’t so bad.
