“I’ve seen every possible ending. None of them are good for you.”

Nicolas Cage’s next big movie, besides his minor role in Grindhouse, is entitled “Next”. He plays the role of Cris Johnson who has the ability to see his own future. “Next” also stars Julianne Moore and the beautiful Jessica Biel who turend 25 today. I really can’t stand Julianne Moore, but she was decent in “Children of Men” so hopefully she’ll play another good role in “Next”. Despite my dislike for Julianne Moore, the appearance of Jessica Biel completely evens out my uneasy thoughts about “Next”. Not only is Jessica goregous, but she’s an animal lover too.

My only problem with “Next”, beside Julianne Moore playing a lead role, is the fact that Lee Tamahori is the director. He was the brilliant mind behind “xXx: State of the Union ” and “Die Another Day”, both movies I don’t think very highly of. That being said, the trailer is very enthralling and should bring in a pretty decent box office draw. Furthermore, the movie is based of a story written by Philip K. Dick (The Minority Report and Blade Runner). He’s one of my favorite authors and I just love the movies that are based off his books.

I know a lot of people don’t like Nicolas Cage whether it’s because of the way that he looks or the way he talks or a combination of both, but I think he’s a great actor and he brings a great feel to the movies he stars in. He also still brings in a good box office draw as he proved with Ghost Rider.

What are your thoughts on this movie? Will Nicolas Cage be able to make “Next” a box office hit or will Lee Tamahori bring it to it’s demise?
