Rachel McAdams makes the cover of Elle
Rachel McAdams has made quite a name for herself within the past few years. The three largest movies in her filmography consist of Mean Girls, The Notebook, and Wedding Crashers — all of which were big box office hits. The last two movies she stared in was already way back in ‘05 (Red Eye and The Family Stone). I can’t believe it’s been that long since I’ve seen her on the silver screen, but at least she’s already slated for a few ‘07 and ‘08 releases as well.
Rachel McAdams is an extremely talented and gorgeous actress. I can remember a while back she was getting some bad publicity due to that strip of hair she dyed pink, but I think it looks great on her. You can see her showing it off on the cover of the latest issue of Elle. If you follow that link, you’ll also see the photo spread of her inside the magazine.
During her interview with the magazine, McAdams mentioned her stance on her career.
(she turned down roles in Mission Impossible 3, Casino Royale, and the Devil Wears Prada): “I’m not going to make movies just to make movies. I have to be passionate about it.”
Hopefully that means we’ll see her in some new and interesting roles within the next few years.

That’s interesting. I wonder if anyone has ever done a tally of Canadian actors and the roles they take. Seems as though they’re much more personal about their careers than some others in Hollywood and by personal I mean that they, for the most part, only part take in movies that they care for rather than for simply the money. Sarah Polley, Keiffer Sutherland come instantly to mind.
Intersting point. I never thought about it that way. Too bad more actors/actresses don’t think like that. There’d probably be a lot less shitty movies made.
