I was sent an email regarding a movie entitled “This Film Is Not Yet Rated”. “This Film Is Not Yet Rated” takes an uncensored look at censorship within movies and how a particular movie receives it’s rating. Not only does the film go in depth on how a movie receives it’s rating, but who actually determines what’s acceptable to see and what isn’t. Who is the “average parent” in today’s society? Who’s deciding what is or isn’t acceptable for your children to see? “This Film Is Not Yet Rated” takes an in depth look at these questions among many others. The movie includes interviews with people such as Darren Aronofsky, Maria Bello, Kevin Smith, Matt Stone, and many, many more.

“This Film Is Not Yet Rated” will be shown at film festivals around the United States this year. Be warned, there is some nudity, but you can view the first eight minutes of the movie here.

After seeing the first eight minutes, this movie is on my must see list. Here’s the trailer.
