The cartoon came out in the mid 80’s and now, over 20 years later, Transformers is making it to the big screen. This time, directed by Michael Bay, Transformers will be sure to impress with spectacular special effects and the action sequences Bay is known for. Michael Bay, known for his movies The Island, Bad Boys I and II, Armageddon, and The Rock, delivers every time. I can honestly tell you I wasn’t disappointed with any of those movies and I’m sure Transformers will follow suit.

Right now, the only footage of the movie that’s out is a teaser trailer which obviously doesn’t show too much since it’s a teaser, but there were pictures leaked onto the internet a few days ago showing what Megatron would look like. What I’m interested in though is how good the movie will look. The special effects these days are just fantastic and Michael Bay always goes all out.

Michael Bay always picks the best girls to star in his movies and it looks as if he’ll stay on track with Transformers. Just looking down the cast sheet there’s Megan Fox (she’s one of the girls that starred along side Lindsay Lohan in Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen) and Laurel Garner. I’m sure they’ll both be extremely easy to watch on screen.

The one think I’m not liking about the casting choices though is Bernie Mac. I’ve never really been a fan of his movies or TV shows. I did have an awesome time being an extra in his movie Mr. 3000, but that doesn’t mean the movie was any good. Hopefully he won’t be on screen for an extended period of time.

Anyway, I’m hoping a longer theatrical trailer will be released soon with some good footage of the movie.
