For those of you who haven’t yet head about “I Am Legend“, it centers around the last man alive. His name is Neville. The rest of the world has been turned into blood-thirsty vampires and they’re out to drink his blood. Obviously Neville’s not going to let this happen, so he must defend himself when darkness falls and the vampires attack.

Will Smith plays the lead role as Neville, but according to IMDB, “I Am Legend” was originally slated to be made in the ’90s with Arnold Schwarzenegger as the lead role and Ridley Scott as the director. Apparently, the first attempt to make this movie fell apart due to a budget that was too expensive.

Francis Lawrence is now on board as the director. You may remember him from his semi-religious action movie “Constantine” starring Keanu Reeves. I enjoyed “Constantine” for what it’s worth and I’m definitely looking forward to the finished product of “I Am Legend”. Hopefully Lawrence will make this a dark and violent film. I have my fingers crossed.
